Being an airline pilot can be a glamorous, exciting, and highly rewarding job. However, it takes many years and a lot of dedication to land a job at a major airline. For some positions, it can take up to 10 years of flying experience to even qualify. Unless you enlist in the military, gaining the requisite training and flight experience is quite costly.
